"La Corporazione delle Arti, a professional association under Law 4/2013, unites, protects, safeguards and regulates the profession of teaching the Arts of Thread. More seriousness and less improvisation are essential if our experience is to be considered a profession. The founding members have many decades of experience as teachers, with roots firmly planted in the tradition of which they know every aspect, but looking to the future to safeguard and pass on their knowledge. The Guild is open to anyone, without distinction, who is already - or wishes to become - a teacher of the Arts of Thread.

ABILMENTE e GIULIANA RICAMA: progetto #Instaembroidery

After browsing the now very popular social networking site Instagram, we discovered a world of young embroiderers who present themselves through this social networking site under the hashtag #instaembroidery. We first created a dedicated section in our magazine and then, with Abilmente, we created a project to involve these young Italian artists who come to exhibit their creations and make themselves known during Abilmente Vicenza Autunno in the pavilion dedicated to embroidery. This creates a fantastic continuity between tradition and innovation.
